SANTIAGO DE CUBA, February 2 (Santiago Santana, APLO) - Independent library "René E. Chibás" moved its quarters when its director went into exile recently.
The new address of the popular library is now Calle Hermanos Villazana No. 20 between Prolongación de Corona and Calle 3, Reparto Veguita de Galo, Santiago de Cuba 90200, less than 100 meters from the only statue of René Eduardo Chibás, in the Carretera del Morro park in
this city.
The new director of the library is Dr. Yassera Sesin Herrero, who expressed the opinion that the new Cuban generation, avidly seeking a deeper understanding of the contemporary world, needs projects like this.
While visiting the new quarters of the "René E. Chibás," its director expressed her willingness to maintain the prestige and recognition at both the national and international levels, that have accrued to this healthy activity of gathering and collecting books of all
kinds.
