NUEVA GERONA, Cuba, November 21 (cubanet.sergipeconectado.com) - Bernardo Arvalo Padrn, freed after serving a six-year prison sentence for insulting Fidel Castro, says he's going to go back being an independent journalist.

"I am going to continue being an independent journalist," he said. "As long as I'm alive I'll continue."

Arvalo Padrn was sentenced in 1997 for a radio broadcast over Radio Mart in which he said Castro failed to comply with the Iberoamerican Summit agreement of 1996 which he had signed.
