FROM CUBA Cubans feel overworked, underpaid 5t3e1c

HAVANA, Cuba, October 23 (cubanet.sergipeconectado.com) - A substantial number of Cuban workers feel they work too much in less than optimal conditions and are not compensated in direct proportion to their efforts, are some of the findings of a recent study by the Labor Medicine Institute, said a source familiar with the study, which hasn't been published.

According to the study, 46% of those surveyed thought they work too much in relation to the salary they perceive, with women generally feeling more often overworked than men, and those aged 36 to 50 feeling more overworked than those between the ages of 18 and 35.

The study surveyed 1,000 workers in Havana.
