FROM CUBA Restaurant workers' salaries docked 2e2t4s

HAVANA, Cuba, August 19 (Vctor Manuel Domnguez, Lux Info Press / cubanet.sergipeconectado.com) - The employees of the La Cocinita restaurant in Santiago de Cuba say their salaries have been reduced by 10% because the restaurant doesn't meet its revenue quotas and call the measure unfair, since they say it is beyond their power to address the shortcomings.

While they address their complaint, so far unsuccessfully, to local government officials and to the government-led union, workers say they haven't received their full 110-peso (about 4 dollars) monthly salary for the last four months.

The workers' complaint says restaurant s set revenue goals for the establishment, and tied their salaries to performance. However, the complaint says the s acknowledge they can't supply enough gas to cook the food or even sufficient food to meet the plan's goals.
