FROM CUBA Two years in jail for dissenting in Cuba 426s6q

HAVANA, Cuba, August 23 (Moiss Leonardo Rodrguez / cubanet.sergipeconectado.com) - Cndido Terry decided to yell "Down with Fidel. Liberty for political prisoners," a little over two years ago in Havana's Plaza de la Revolucin.

As a result, he became a political prisoner himself. He has just been freed after serving a two year sentence.

Terry served his time in the Valle Grande, 1580, and Toledo prisons. According to Ren Montes de Oca, a human rights activist, Terry staged several hunger strikes to protest prison conditions.

Montes de Oca also said Terry ed the human rights organization of which he is secretary general through other prisoners.
