FROM CUBA Wife of dissident threatened 83tp

PINAR DEL RIO, Cuba, October 12 (Rafael Ferro Salas, Abdala Press / cubanet.sergipeconectado.com) - Iris Daz Peate, wife of Jess Francisco Corrales Serrat, a member of the Maximo Gmez Civic Movement, says she was threatened in her home by an agent of the political police.

Daz said she invited into her home the agent, named Reinaldo, when he knocked on the door.

"I wasn’t rude,” she said. “I invited him to sit down and asked to what I owed his visit. He replied that our next conversation would be at the headquarters of State Security.”

She said the agent told her that State Security had a big file on her activities and those of her husband.
